The cap depends on zones and eligible journeys. Check the current value and exclusions at tfl.gov.uk; not all airport trains are capped.

Do buses accept cash in London?

No. Use Oyster, contactless or a TfL-accepted bus ticket such as a valid Travelcard. An ordinary rail ticket is not automatically valid on buses.

Oyster can help if your bank card is incompatible or you qualify for discounts. For children around 11–15, check the Young Visitor discount and Oyster or Visitor Oyster conditions with TfL; not every visitor needs a Zip photocard. Check purchase costs and conditions before paying.
