Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which you may obtain a refund for a paid plan of Essential City Info, provided by Roberto Galati, a private individual based in Italy, operating Essential City Info. Last updated: 2026-04-25.

1. 14-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with a paid plan (e.g. Essential City Info Premium), you may request a full refund within 14 days from the date of purchase. No specific reason is required.

After 14 days from the purchase date, refunds are no longer available as of right, but may still be granted at our or Paddle's discretion in case of technical issues, duplicate charges, or other exceptional circumstances.

2. How to request a refund

Refunds are processed by our payment provider Paddle (Merchant of Record). The fastest way to request a refund is to visit https://paddle.net and look up your purchase using the email address you used at checkout.

Alternatively, you can email us at support@essentialcityinfo.com including your purchase email, the approximate date of purchase, and (optionally) the reason. We will forward eligible requests to Paddle.

Refunds are typically processed within 3–10 business days back to the original payment method. The exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer.

3. What this policy applies to

This policy applies only to paid plans of Essential City Info purchased through our checkout. The free version of the Service does not involve any payment and therefore no refund.

Each Premium plan is a one-time annual purchase with no auto-renewal — there is nothing to "cancel" beyond simply not renewing at the end of the year.

4. Statutory consumer rights (EU/UK)

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days for distance contracts.

Please note: by purchasing a digital service that is delivered immediately (such as Essential City Info Premium), you are deemed to expressly request its immediate performance and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once full performance has begun, as permitted under Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU. The voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee in section 1 above is offered in addition to and is more generous than this statutory regime in most cases of dissatisfaction.

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

5. Paddle as Merchant of Record

Paddle.com Market Limited acts as the Merchant of Record for all paid orders and is the entity that issues invoices, collects sales tax/VAT and processes refunds. Paddle's own Refund Policy is available at https://www.paddle.com/legal/refund-policy and applies to your purchase together with this policy. In case of conflict between Paddle's Buyer Terms and this Refund Policy, the more favourable provision for the consumer prevails.
